Ekaterina Shirkina
Senior Architect
Ekaterina joined Kettle Collective in 2015, a Master of Architecture graduate from Edinburgh College
of Art.
Her graduate work focused on designing for the elderly, and was awarded the Somner Macdonald Architect Prize for Small Moves/Big Impacts. Kate followed this by gaining experience from a number of educational projected across Europe and Russia.
At Kettle Collective Kate is actively involved in every stage of the design process, with special focus on apartment layouts. Her previous experience designing for vulnerable groups allows Kate to create flowing and intuitive environments. With a keen interest in sketching and drawing she produces 2D and 3D visualisations that clearly illustrate the layout, and key features of every design.
