Valentin Gluhchev

Architectural Designer

Valentin graduated Masters of Architecture at the University of Strathclyde in 2020 where his thesis focused on investigating new methods for designing through repurposing.

His passion in exploring different townscapes and cities lead to an ERASMUS training journey at the Technical University in Munich. He joined Kettle Collective in 2018 where he worked on a number of unique projects such as Mutrah Heights, Lakhta 2, Tilal Al Ghaf Mosque and Scotstoun Housing Development.

Valentin has experience in all design stages of commercial, mixed use and religious typologies with extensive knowledge in residential planning. He is most confident with technical knowledge and he believes that attention to the smallest details is as fundamental as looking at things in large scale.

His proficiency in 3D modelling and drawing make use in quickly testing and exploring design ideas. He is mostly inspired by the 20th century Modernism but he also believes that nature is as well a great source for beautiful design ideas.
