Located on the north eastern corner of Tilal Al Ghaf development, Distrikt 2 is the second phase of the local community retail centre. The design of Distrikt 2 building takes cues from Distrikt 1, with simple rectilinear forms juxtaposed with vertical masses of the entrance portals. Materials used in the façade also take cues from Distrikt 1 in the use of timber effect plank cladding to the F&B units. A projecting form of the first floor of the building is clad in corten effect HPL cladding, arranged to form vertical fins to create randomised vertical lines in an essentially horizontally massed building form.
