Xinyi Li

Landscape Architect

Xinyi graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Master of Arts degree in Landscape Architecture in 2016, she has also completed a Master’s degree in Interior Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL.

Xinyi's degree major project ‘Re-mind Garden’ in the Italian Hospital of London explored how spatial design and exposure to urban green space can impact mental health and promote general well-being. It was awarded Winner by Architects for Health Student Design Awards 2018 due to its innovative concept and its sensitivity to the needs of staff and patients/design users for the Italian Hospital.

After graduation, she has worked in practice both in the UK and Dubai, and worked as a city planner in Aberdeen City Council till 2021. Xinyi’s experience ranges from university master planning and wall garden regeneration design, to landscape design associated with high streets, post-industrial sites and mixed use residential developments.
