The form for this hotel was inspired by traditional local boats of the nearby Arabian Sea. Reflecting the subtly stepped and gently sloped edges of the boats’ hulls, it creates two elegant overhanging curving wings stepping towards the sky; a hotel on one side and serviced apartments on the other.

Situated at the centre of a circular site, the hotel matches the pure geometry of its surroundings with a beautiful symmetrical crescent; the focal point at the centre drawing people to the entrance.

Above the entrance stands a conference centre overlooking the gardens, surrounded by sun terraces and an infinity pool, sheltered within the enclosure of the two sweeping wings. The stepped platforms of the roof create outdoor spaces on which shaded gardens and pools allow people to spend leisure time in a place of quiet and nature, while maintaining strong visual connections across the city of Dubai.
