CTBUH Lakhta: Landmark as Generator for Polycentric Growth

On Monday, Tony Kettle presented at the CTBUH 2018 International Conference. This years conference is focused on Polycentric Cities: The Future of Vertical Urbanism. Tony’s talk titled the Lakhta Tower: Landmark as Generator for Polycentric Growth, focused on the Lakhta Tower in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Lakhta Tower, which Tony designed while Design Director at RMJM, became Europe’s Tallest Tower in early 2018.

Tony described his interest in the numbering systems that create natural forms and how it has influenced his work in Moscow, St Petersburg and now in the Middle East.
