Kettle Collective win at Cityscape Awards

International architecture and design studio, Kettle Collective, was awarded for the best Future Leisure and Tourism building design at the 2014 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets. The award was presented to Colin Bone, Managing Director at Kettle Collective, at the Cityscape Awards and Cocktail Evening, which was held at the Burj Khalifa on the 22nd of September 2014. Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets brings together design visionaries and forward-thinking leaders in the United Arab Emirates to showcase unique projects that are raising the global industry bar and offer international architects and leading property developers a prestigious stage from which to showcase a shared view of the future.

Approaching the beginning of its third year, Kettle Collective is led by multi-award winning architect Tony Kettle as Design Principal. With headquarters in Edinburgh and studios in London, Dubai, Moscow and St. Petersburg the Collective is competing internationally with current projects also situated in Oman and Morocco. Previously, Tony Kettle was noted for high profile, low-energy designs such as The Falkirk Wheel in Scotland and The Lakhta Centre Gazprom Tower in St. Petersburg Tony Kettle’s design for the Solar Innovation Centre is located in the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai. Commissioned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the building reinforces a sense of place for green Dubai as a leading example of sustainable development both in the region and internationally. “We are very pleased that the Solar Innovation Centre has been recognised as pioneering in design in the Future Leisure and Tourism Category”, said Tony Kettle.
