Back to Team

Omar is an Architectural Designer who completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in architecture at Oxford Brookes University, with experience working at a conservation and heritage firm in Oxford prior to joining Kettle Collective.

Following his bachelor’s thesis which explored topics of identity and place, Omar chose to specialise during his master’s in ‘Development & Emergency Practice’, followed by a research-led design studio. This has contributed to his architectural approach which is rooted in a people-first and narrative-driven focus, emphasising the importance of creating spaces that resonate with their users’ needs and stories. This, along with his experience in the restoration and adaptation of historic buildings to modern settings, has deepened his love for contextual architecture.

At Kettle Collective, Omar has contributed to projects both locally as well as in the Middle East, while developing skills including 3D printing and the use of AI tools which have built on his skills in visual representation.

Alongside this, Omar holds a diploma in graphic design and fine art and has pursued freelance graphic design and photography for over a decade, and continues to produce art in his free time. He has a keen interest in film and television, with brief experience in the industry, which further inspires his design process and love for visual storytelling. Omar is also fluent in Arabic as a second language.
