The project began as a reflection on how natural light shapes the experience of a workspace, leading to a simple question: could that same quality of focused, comfortable light be recreated more intentionally?
From this, a minimalist task light emerged as a way to improve everyday working environments.

The design was shaped through close collaboration. Innes focused on proportions and detailing, James on materials and fabrication, and Predrag on the electrical and optical performance. This exchange allowed the team to refine both the design and how the light performs.
While visually simple, the lamp integrates carefully considered elements, including a custom desk connection, a gimbal head for smooth adjustment, and a touch sensor interface, balancing clarity of form with technical precision.
More than anything, the project reflects the value of small, self-initiated collaboration, and the role of hands-on experimentation in shaping design thinking.
