Celine and her team, Watsonians Ladies Rugby Team, won the final of the Sarah Beaney Cup at BT Murrayfield as part of the Scottish Rugby Silver Saturday. Find out more about the Sarah Beany Cup Game.
Celine told us: “Happiness, that’s the word that best describes last Saturday. Happy to be back at Murrayfield for the final of the Sarah Beaney Cup, happy to play rugby with friends more than teammates, happy to win and lift that cup, and happy celebration after that!
It’s been 12 months of hard work since we lost the final last year, we were determined to get out there and do better, show our full potential. It was a tough and physical game, maybe not the most beautiful rugby with a proper Scottish weather but hopefully it promoted women’s rugby and it showed how much it evolved in Scotland over the past few years!”
