1. What are some key milestones in your career so far?
I’ve worked in the industry for 15 years. Early in my career, I was mentored by a talented architect for seven years before joining another firm, where I helped establish a branch office in Milan and trained design students from local schools. I’ve delivered a range of residential and commercial projects, including an award-winning pastry shop featured in design magazines, with two others showcased in Vogue. My move to the UAE has been the “cherry on top” of my career, leading major residential developments recognised by clients and peers alike.
2. What has been your most significant Kettle Collective project?
The most significant project I’ve worked on so far is The Row. It is a large-scale residential development including a mosque for Aldar, delivered within a very demanding programme. From a design management standpoint, the priority was to create clarity and support the team through strong coordination, clear decision-making, and consistent design guidance at every stage.
Working to a compressed timeline required close collaboration and a practical, experience-led approach, allowing the team to stay focused and responsive under pressure. The successful delivery, and Aldar’s recognition of The Row as its flagship project for 2025 in Saadiyat, reflect a genuinely collective effort and a design management approach that proved both resilient and effective.

3. What do you enjoy most about your job and working in this industry?
What I love most about my job is teaching and mentoring others. I firmly believe learning never stops, and that’s what makes this industry so inspiring. Every day brings new challenges that push us to find smart, creative solutions under pressure while maintaining clarity and calmness.
4. What inspires you in architecture?
Everything around me is an inspiration – interiors, experiences, books, even everyday details. I’ve loved architecture and interiors since I was a child. When travelling, I was always drawn to discovering unique buildings and interiors that sparked something in my heart.
5. Do you have a favourite quote or a phrase you live by?
“Don’t look at the mountain you have to climb, take one step at a time.”
6. What do you enjoy outside of work?
I truly love what I do. Even in my free time, I often find myself watching tutorials or exploring new techniques related to design. Beyond work, I love spending time with my family, partner, and friends. I’m a social person who enjoys good company, good food, and good drinks. I also love Pilates.
7. What advice would you give to someone starting in Interior Design today?
To anyone starting a career in architecture or interior design, I’d recommend making the most of your school years. Immerse yourself in the profession and, if possible, gain hands-on experience in a design studio alongside your studies. This will help you connect theory with real-world practice and build a strong foundation for your future career.
